Song lyrics/poetry can mean a lot to one person and nothing to another.
Many people can read a work and see all kind of meanings/make all kinds of interpretations.
But for it to be art it has to communicate.If the artist as in this case in my opinion is wilfully disregarding the input needed by an audience to reach an implied or otherwise right or wrong interpretation or reading of his work and being needlessly obscure then he forfeits any sympathetic co-operation asked for or implied/inherent in his original premise.
ie. It’s a load of bollocks mate (as is the previous paragraph).
